Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our team, specializing in container transport. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of containerized goods to designated locations. This role requires a high level of professionalism, adherence to safety standards, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving and Delivery:
• Operate Class 1 HGV vehicles to transport containers to and from specified locations.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of containers.
• Adhere to scheduled delivery times, maintaining punctuality and efficiency.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with legal regulations.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and delivery logs.
• Customer Service:
• Interact professionally with clients during deliveries, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Address any client concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
• Vehicle Maintenance:
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to the fleet manager.
• Ensure the cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle.

Requirements:

• Qualifications:
• Valid Class 1 HGV (CE) driving license.
• Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Valid Digital Tachograph card

• Experience:
• Minimum 1 years experience as a Class 1 HGV driver, preferably in container transport.
• Familiarity with container terminal operations and procedures.

• Skills:
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
• Excellent navigation and route planning skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
